![]() The magic really happened when I took concealers out of the equation and used the Violet Touche Éclat Neutralizer Color Corrector alone to highlight. The result was a subtly brighter appearance that still looked natural and helped my eyes look brighter and more awake. Surprisingly, I ended up liking the Violet Touche Éclat Neutralizer Color Corrector a little better than my Bobbi Brown correctors because it has a slightly drier texture that doesn’t fall into my fine deep lines quite as easily. At first, I tried pairing it with concealers to help brighten and color correct under my eyes and I found that it worked well. Unfortunately, the Violet Touche Éclat Neutralizer Color Corrector did turn out to be a little too brightening to use around my mouth but it works like a charm under my eyes. Typically when I think of color correcting, the first thing that comes to mind is under my eyes and around my mouth because that’s where I have some slight darkness that could use some evening out. This time around, the Touche Éclat Neutralizer Color Correctors feel slightly drier which works well for layering concealers and foundations. It features the same sleek metallic click-pen packaging and thin, lightweight creamy formula. ![]() The Violet Touche Éclat Neutralizer Color Corrector looks and feels just like Yves Saint Laurent’s classic Touche Éclat Radiant Touch brightening pen. However, Violet turned out to work wonderfully on my brown skin and proved to be pretty versatile too. To be honest, I was skeptical to try it because the only corrector I’ve ever tried was Bobbi Brown’s original and Intensive Serum Correctors which are both peach based so I was worried the Violet would be too light for my skin tone. My good ol’ pals over at Influenster sent me the Violet one to try out and I actually love it. Green corrects blemishes and conceals redness for an even skin tone.Bisque corrects dark circles, dark spots and illuminates.Violet corrects yellow dull skin for a healthy glow.Everyone has jumped on the color correcting bandwagon including Yves Saint Laurent with their new Touche Éclat Neutralizer Color Correctors. The next big thing is color correcting which is an age old technique in the makeup artist community and now it’s making big waves in the consumer market. Liquid lipsticks became a huge trend last year and they’re still going pretty strong but it looks like there’s a new trend on the horizon and everyone is going nuts about it.
